Girl / Guy Evening – Tonight!
This evening is a Girl/Guy evening. The boys will be playing football on a 5 a-side pitch, while the girls will be cupcake decorating and chilling out… parents have the location details. Looking forward to seeing you later on!

Newday 2013 Review
We had another fantastic year in Norfolk at Newday, and we have put together the Reading Family Church “Newday Times” which gives a short overview of our highlights of the week. You can download a copy, or just read it below. Do also check out the official Newday review video at the bottom of this blog post.
You will also notice that photos from the event are currently showing on the right hand side of each page of the blog. Don’t forget that all of the talks are available to download from the newday website (http://newdaygeneration.org/resources) so do have a look.
Newday will be back in 2014, bigger and better than ever. The dates are Monday 28th July until Sunday 3rd August – put these dates in your diary, and we will provide more information later this year.
Bah Bee Queue!
This Friday night is the last youth of term, so we are going to celebrate the start of the Summer holidays with an amazing Summer BBQ!!! 
We’ll be meeting at someone’s house (email us for the address) from 7pm until 9.30pm on Friday 19th July.
There will be plenty of BBQ food (including veggie options), Steve’s famous barbequed banana and chocolate, as well as wide games at the near-by park.
You will seriously not want to miss this week!
Chip Shop Survey
This Friday night, your mission is to track down the best chips in Reading town centre. You will have a maximum of £10 to spend, so make sure you use it wisely. To fairly judge each location, all team members should taste the chips and you should rate them as a group. 5 = Absolutely amazing, give me more! 1 = Urggh, throw them away!
As an added challenge there will be a prize for the team that returns with the most change from their tenner. See if you can haggle the price down, get a reduced portion size for a lower amount, or even taste them for free!

Encounter Evening with a Sofa Testimony
Hey guys,
This week is an encounter evening, an opportunity to encounter God through praise and a number of different worship stations. We will also be having another sofa testimony with a youth leader. In the hot seat this time will be Steve ‘the smiler’ Bond, to share some of the stuff God has been doing in his life.
We’re really excited for this week because we know and believe in a God who wants to meet with each of you!
Make sure you’re there… it’s gonna be great!
